The height of the flagpole is 7 m.

Explanation of Solution

Given information:

  $\text{ΔABC}\sim \text{ΔPQR}$

  $\frac{AB}{BC}=\frac{PQ}{QR}$

Since, the shadow form by the flagpole and stick at same time, so the angle formed by the triangle of flagpole and stick are same as can be seen in the following figure,

The above figure is represent the shadow of a meter stick.

From the figure it is cleared that $\text{ΔABC}\sim \text{ΔPQR}$ ,

  $\frac{AB}{BC}=\frac{PQ}{QR}$

Now put the values of sides,

  $\begin{array}{l}\frac{h}{1\text{m}}=\frac{9.1\text{m}}{1.4\text{m}}\\ h=7\text{m}\end{array}$

Hence, the height of the flagpole is 7 m.
