Summary Introduction
The viruses are present in enormous numbers on the earth. The number of viruses is found to be greater than that of the number of cells present in the cells. It is estimated that the number of the virus is found to be 10-fold greater than that of the number of cells. Most of the genetic diversity was found to be residing in the genome of the virus which is yet to be investigated. Generally, the viruses affect their host cells by either carrying horizontal gene transfer from one cell to another or by culling the population of the host.
