Introduction:
Lipids are naturally occurring compounds which are present in cell membrane in form of cholesterol, glycolipids and phospholipids. Cholesterol is a steroid that contains fused hydrocarbons in its structure.
Steroid hormones are formed from cholesterol of body by the glands naturally through adrenal cortex, testes and ovaries.
