Interpretation:
If an endothermic reaction at equilibrium has an activation energy of 40kJ. The activation energy of the reverse reaction should be determined if the energy of reaction is 30 kJ.
Concept Introduction:
Endothermic reaction is the process where the energy of products is higher than that of the reactants. In simpler words,an endothermic reaction takes the energy from the surroundings.
The reverse of an endothermic reaction is called an exothermic reaction which gives off energy to the surroundings. In this reaction, the energy of reactants is higher than that of the products.
At equilibrium, the energy released is equal to the energy absorbed.
