Introduction: Autoimmune disorders are the disorder or diseased condition in which the immune system attacks the body mistakenly due to the inability to distinguish between self and non-self cells. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disorder that is characterized by chronic inflammatory response affecting a number of organ systems which makes it difficult to detect and treat. Distinctive feature of SLE is butterfly rashes (facial rashes across the nose and cheeks).
