Introduction:
Blood is composed of a cellular component, that is, red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells (WBCs), and platelets, and the liquid component, that is blood plasma. All of these components remain in the blood at a certain ratio. The ratio between RBCs and the total volume of blood is called hematocrit.
