To determine:

The three skull sutures that are visible from the superior view of the skull and the type of bone that articulates at the sutures.

Introduction:

The sutures are the immovable joints that form the boundaries between the cranial bones. The presence of dense connective tissue seals cranial bones firmly together at a suture. Skull contains numerous sutures, and each one of them consists of a specific name. For example the occipitomastoid suture connects the occipital bone with the portion of the temporal bone that house the mastoid process.
