Introduction:
Neurons are considered to be the structural and functional unit of the nervous system which response to different kinds of stimuli. The three parts of the neurons are the cell bodies, the axons, and the dendrites. The cell body is the region which contains a nucleus. The axons and the dendrites are extensions of the cell body. The neurons are present throughout the body to conduct nerve impulses and to release neurotransmitters for various functions in the body.
