Question
Chapter 7, Problem 2CR
Summary Introduction
To review:
The role of hemoglobin in the transport of O2 (oxygen) and CO2 (carbon dioxide).
Introduction:
Blood is composed of cellular components and a liquid component. The cellular component includes the RBCs (red blood cells), platelets, WBCs (white blood cells), and the liquid component is blood plasma. RBCs contain a metalloprotein called hemoglobin, which is responsible for the transportation of O2 and CO2.
