Chapter 6, Problem 6SC
Summary Introduction
To determine:
Whether the statement ‘In intestine, amino acids of the same general type compete for the same absorption sites, so a dose of any one amino can limit absorption of another’ is true or false.
Introduction:
The major part of digestion occurs in the small intestine. With the help of pancreatic enzymes, chymotrypsin and trypsin along with intestinal enzyme, the peptide chains are broken down into tripeptides and dipeptides, and ultimately amino acids.
