Introduction:
The plasma membrane which is also called the cell membrane is responsible for separating the internal components of the cell from the external environment. The plasma membrane is made up of the lipid bilayer in which proteins are also present. The peripheral proteins are present on the surfaces of the plasma membrane while the integral proteins are embedded within the plasma membrane.
