Summary Introduction

To explain:  The population size of species that compete by interference competition is near the carrying capacity whereas the population size of species that competes by exploitation competition is often greater than or below the carrying capacity.

Introduction: The interference competition can be defined as the type of competition that occurs in organisms that result in one organism preventing the other from using resources that are present in limited amounts. Exploitation competition occurs where equal distribution of the limited resources takes place among all the organisms.
