The new kitten of individual scratches her roommate and the skin is turning red, warm and sore on touch. The roommate thought she contracted some fatal infection, but the individual is discussing the activities of the innate system with her. Innate defense or non-specific defense provides general response towards the pathogen. Its mechanism includes inflammatory responses that play an important role by providing defense against pathogens.
