Introduction: The skeletal system is composed of bones, cartilage, and connective tissues such as ligaments and tendons. Bones are covered by two-layer solid membranes known as the periosteum. The outer membrane is a dense connective tissue. The inner membrane contains osteoblasts that are mainly called the bone formers.
