Medication errors are classified depending on where it occur during the medication cycle. This cycle consists of prescribing stage, dispensing stage and administration of drug. The potential physical and emotional consequences that occurs as a result of medication errors range from no effect, enduring disability and sometimes death in most extreme cases. An error that is done by a nurse or any health care professionals will harm the patient. The staff nurses who are involved will be affected mentally.
