Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation: The apparent molar mass of the solute has to be calculated and the interpretation has to be suggested.

Concept introduction: The freezing point of the solution containing non-volatile solute is lower than that of solvent.  Depression in freezing point is given by the formula,

  $\Delta T_{\text{f}}=n{K}_{\text{f}}b$

Where,

• $n$ is the number of ions in the solution.
• $K_f$ is the freezing point constant which is defined for a particular solvent.
• $b$ is the molality of solution.
