Ismammary gland synonymous with breasts is to be determined. Also, distintion and similarity between mammary gland to apocrine sweat gland is to be ascertained.
Concept introduction:
Mammary glands are an exocrine gland that produces milk during lactation or pregnancy and present in breast.
The breast has a myoepithelial cell, which contracts in response to oxytocin and secretes milk.
Both male and females have glandular tissue within breast but, after puberty due to estrogenproductionthe glandular tissues start to develop in the females.
