Write the expression for the volume of a raft.

V=LWH

V is the volume of the raft

L is the length of the raft

W is the width of the raft

H is the thickness of the raft

Substitute 3m for L, 2m for W and 30cm for H to find the volume of the raft.

V=(3m)(2m)(30cm)=(3m)(2m)(30cm×102m1cm)=1.8m3

Write the expression for the maximum upward force the raft can exert.
