The pros and cons of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Big Five Personality model.
Introduction:
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI): this is a personality test where 100 questions are stated on a sheet of paper and the individual is supposed to choose an answer from each question. This test taps into four different characteristics that an individual may possess which categorizes each individual into one of these 16 different personality types. The answers to the questions are written by how the individual thinks he/she is or how they would react to a situation.
Big Five Personality model: this is a personality test which taps into five basic dimensions (such as; conscientiousness, emotional stability, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness) in order to judge the most significant variation in an individual. This test gives in scores for each dimension.
