- Entities may represent the physical object, event, or concept.
- An attribute is a property of an entity.
- Relationship denotes the link between the entities.
- Cardinality represents the relationship between entities through three relationships such as,
- 1:1 (one to one)
- 1:N (one to many)
- M:N (many to many)
Entity relationship diagram:
The entity-relationship diagram is a graphical demonstration of entity-relationship model.
- A logical representation of business data for a business area is the entity-relationship model (E-R model).
- In the business environment, the E-R model is expressed in terms of entities and relationships between the entities.
