Concept introduction: Quality can be measured by the level of satisfaction based specifically on the specifications mentioned by the seller of the good while the producers may perceive it on conformity with the set standard. It can generally be said that quality is the ability of a product being free from defects. Quality is important as it ensures customer satisfaction thus brand loyalty, high revenues and productivity, achievement of long-term goals by cutting down on unnecessary expenses and it ensures superior products are delivered into the market.
Explanation of Solution
Quality has a different definition and meaning for different organizations.
For a university, quality of the university means the availability of courses, the clarity of the lectures, the facilities provided on the university, and the eventual success of the students that graduate from the university. It also includes the types of and a number of researches that are being done as well as excellence in imparting knowledge and developing skills and competencies which can develop students as good professionals.
For an exercise facility quality will mean the overall experience of the patrons, the wear and tear level of the equipment, the attentiveness of the instructors and the feel-good factor that is derived from the exercise facility, latest equipment’s and trained professional guidance.
For spaghetti sauce, the quality will mean the taste, richness, viscosity, thickness and consistency of the sauce made from fresh and organically sourced ingredients.
A toothbrush’ quality can be measured upon the evenness of the bristles, the capability to clean teeth, longevity of the toothbrush and the comfort level of brushing, free from harmful chemicals and good for teeth protection.
