Saturated fatty acids are those which have no double bond, and all carbon atoms are fully saturated with hydrogen atoms. It is claimed that saturated fat is unhealthy and is responsible to raise cholesterol levels and in raising heart attack risks. The foods like meat, lard, butter, cream, and cheeses are high in saturated fat.
