Mean time between failures (MTBF):
The mean time between failures is a term which denotes the time that is elapsed between the first failure of a product and the second failure of a product. It is calculated during the normal system operation.
Mean time to repair (MTTR):
The mean time to repair is the time incurred for a device to fail and also the time elapsed to repair the device. The repair is carried out after the failure of the device.
