To explain:  The formation of neural tube and neural crest cells.

Concept introduction: Neural tube is an embryonic structure which is found in the vertebrate embryo. These neural tubes can ultimately form the brain and spinal cord. The neural tube is formed by a process called neurulation.

Neural crest cells are a group of cells which are originated at the dorsal most region of the neural tube. The neural crest cells can migrate to give rise to a number of differentiated cell types. These include the neurons, bone, pigment cells, facial skeleton, cartilage, glia, peripheral nervous system and facial skeleton.
