Concept Introduction:

Mole of a compound can be determined by dividing the mass of compound in g by its molar mass as follows:

n=m /M.

where, n is mol.

m is mass in g.

M is molar mass.

Limiting reactant is the reactant which is completely reacted to produce product. For determining limiting reactant, number of mol of reactant is divided by stoichiometric coefficient of reactant and the reactant with lower value is limiting reactant.
