Concept introduction: Epinephrine is a hormone secreted by the medulla of the adrenal glands. It is released into the bloodstream in response to any mental or physical stress. This hormone is also called as adrenaline. Epinephrine plays an important role in the fight-or-flight response by increasing the flow of blood to the muscles.
An auxin is a plant growth hormone, which is produced in the buds, stem, and root tips. The main function of auxin is to promote the stem elongation and to inhibit the growth of lateral buds.
