Explanation of Solution

The problems faced in this case are:

• The commercial airplane pilots misinterpreted the signal which was sent when the controls of the autopilot were disconnected after warning signals.
• Yoke was to be pushed forward to gain velocity but the pilots ignored the environmental cues and pulled the yoke back that lifted the nose of the plane and decreased the air speed. This was exactly opposite of what was needed...
