There are various methods by which the transportation of a range of molecules and substances takes place in the human body. Certain transportation mechanisms function based on the concentration and do not require any energy. This type of transportation is referred to as passive transport. Other transport mechanism involves the use of transporters that require energy for the transportation of molecules, and this transportation is referred to as the active transport.
