Introduction:
The central nervous system consists of a brain and spinal cord. Three layers of cerebrospinal fluid and connective tissue (meninges) protect and surrounds the spinal cord and brain. The entry of dissolved substances from the blood to the cerebrospinal fluid is prevented by blood–brain barrier.
