Introduction:
Reticular formation is a broad net-like formation shown by the gray matter and the white matter. The white matter consists of myelinated axons and the gray matter contains neuronal cell bodies. The reticular formation begins at the upper portion of the spinal cord and ends into the lower portion of the diencephalon.
