Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae undergoes fermentation of sugar in fruit juices that produce alcohol in wine and also fermentation of sugars in bread dough causes rising of bread. Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae is also involved in the production of beer by fermentation of malt from grains.
