Interpretation:

The nitrogen present in sodium nitrate and in ammonium nitrate is given to be used as a fertilizer. A fertilizer containing $30.0\%$ sodium nitrate by mass is stated to be costing $\$9.00$ per $100\text{lb}$ whereas the fertilizer containing $20.0\%$ ammonium sulfate by mass costs $\$8.10$ per $100\text{lb}$ . The more economical source of nitrogen is to be stated.

Conversion of $\text{lb}$ into $\text{g}$ is done as,
