Chapter 4, Problem 6IP
Summary Introduction
To explain: The kinds of fractures produced by compression, tension, and shear, respectively.
Concept introduction: Bones provide the structural framework for human body, protects other body tissues, and forms a system of levers for purpose of movement along with muscles. Bones are subjected to several forces like compression, tension and shear force. If the bone cannot withstand the force, the bone breaks which is called as fracture. The fracture disrupts the continuity of the bone.
