Question
Chapter 4, Problem 3SA
Summary Introduction
To answer:
To find out the reason for the statement, that only dead organisms can be viewed in an electron microscope.
Introduction:
The electron microscope uses a beam of electrons and creates a specimen image. It has higher magnifications and resolving power that allows seeing smaller objects in fine detail. It gives a detailed view of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, cellular structures, and some molecules and atoms. The electron microscope are classified into two general types, namely transmission electron microscope and scanning electron microscope.
