Given :

10 m distance covered in 1 s and 20 m distance covered in 2 s.

Formula used :

The speed is,

  $s=vt$

Where, s is distance traveled, v is speed and t is time.

Calculation :

In first case distance, $s=10\text{ m}$ and time taken, $t=1\text{ s}$

Now, substituting the value of s and t and solve.

  $\begin{array}{l}10=v\times 1\\ v=\frac{10}{1}\\ =10\text{ m/s}\end{array}$

In second case distance, $s=20\text{ m}$ and time taken, $t=2\text{ s}$

Now, substituting the value of s and t and solve.

  $\begin{array}{l}20=v\times 2\\ v=\frac{20}{2}\\ =10\text{ m/s}\end{array}$

Conclusion :

Therefore, speed in both cases are same.
