Summary Introduction

Annuity: An annuity consist series of a fixed number of equal cash flows which occur at the regular time period. Unlike perpetuity, it comes to end after some equal number of payment.

The present value of an annuity: Present value of annuity measures the present value of number of equal payment to be made at future date. In Present value of annuity method, cash flows occur at the end of each period and the calculation of present value is done one period before the first cash flow.
