During sexual intercourse, the vaginal tract receives about 200 million sperm.Most of the sperm die by vaginal acid or drain out of the female reproductive tract. Only a few sperm pass through the female reproductive tract to reach the egg, sperms have to travel to the fallopian tube for fertilization.
