Given:

  $\begin{array}{l}\text{x had 3×4 dimension}\\ \text{xy}\text{had 3×2 dimension }\end{array}$

Concept used:

To multiply the two matrices column of the first matrices must equals to the raw of the second matrices.

Product of the matrix will be the row of the first matrix to the column of the second matrix.

Calculation:

Since $\text{x had 3×4 dimension}$ , $\text{Y}$ must be matrix that has 4 rows and product of $\text{xy}\text{had 3×2 dimension }$

  $\text{Y}$ must have 2 columns so $\text{Y}$ had dimension $\text{4}\times 2$ .

Hence $\text{Y}$ had dimension $\text{4}\times 2$ .
