Explanation Chemical synapse has two neurons known as a presynaptic and postsynaptic neuron. When presynaptic neuron gets excited, it releases neurotransmitters into the synapse that is present in the synaptic vesicle located in the terminal branch of the neuron. These neurotransmitters diffuse away from the synapse and bind with their receptor present on the postsynaptic neuron and excite that neuron.
