Immune system is basically the biological system, which provides protection to the host organism. Plant immune systems consist of mainly two types of immunity, that is, the general immunity and specific immunity, both of which are generated due to the special molecules called elicitors. Plants are protected against various pathogens by defense mechanisms activated by these immune systems.
