Summary Introduction

Introduction: Biofuels are produced from the biomass such as plant materials. The plant cell walls are broken down into sugars by certain enzymatic reactions. These sugars are fermented and distilled in order to yield biofuels. The main advantage of biofuels is the carbon balance because the carbon dioxide released by burning of biofuels is absorbed by the plants.
