There are many different ways that one can get an infectious disease. Infectious diseases are usually caused by pathogens.
Explanation of Solution
The overall trend has shown in the above graph is the number of reported cases of infectious diseases in US. Infectious diseases are usually caused by germs. Some of the ways that one can get an infectious disease are through direct contact with a person who is sick that includes kissing, touching, sneezing, coughing, and sexual contact. Sometimes, pregnant mothers can also pass some germs along to their babies. Some of the several infectious diseases in the United States, are considered close to elimination (98-99% reductions). Some of the examples are haemophilus influenzae, mumps, rubella and congenital rubella, etc.
Some of the ways that one can get an infectious disease are through direct contact with a person who is sick that includes kissing, touching, sneezing, coughing, and sexual contact.
