Bacteria are small unicellular prokaryotic organisms without a predefined nucleus and the presence of a single chromosome inside the cytoplasm called as nucleoid. There are respiratory mesosomes present for respiration and ribosomes for the synthesis of proteins. They have flagella for locomotion and motility in fluids.
