Question
Chapter 36.4, Problem 2CC
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The role of gastrulation in multicellular organism for cell specialization.
Introduction:
Gastrulation is a process in which a blastula is developed into gastrula by the migration of cell and finally produces a three layered embryo. Gastrulation is the second major phase of embryonic development that adds more cells to the embryo and sorts the cells into distinct layers. The three layers of the embryo is labeled as; Ectoderm, Endoderm and mesoderm.

What's the process of gastrulation in humans, how the embryo forms the three germ layers, and which organs systems or parts of the body are derived from each germ layer?
Describe the movement of cells during early development that change an embryo from a blastula to a gastrula. Name the three main germ layers, describe their relative locations, and list the fates of the cells descended from each layer. What is the name and significance of the opening in the gastrula?
How is the process of gastrulation accomplished in mammalian embryos?
