Chapter 36.3, Problem 1LO
Summary Introduction
To analyse: The effects of water potential on water transport in xylem.
Introduction: The transport functions of plants are carried out by the specialised structures called as vascular tissue. It consists of two cells namely xylem and phloem. The xylem involved in the transport of water and the phloem involved in the transport of minerals. The water along with the minerals are absorbed by the root hairs present in the root system.
