Concept introduction: Blood is a fluid suspension consisting of different blood cells in the blood plasma. Fifty five percentage of the total blood volume is only composed of blood plasma. It is mainly composed of water and the rest are proteins, electrolytes, clotting factors, hormones, and glucose. Majority of the blood plasma is composed of plasma proteins that are made by liver.
