To describe: The other critical innovations of the amniotes
Introduction: Amniotes were true land animals as they did not require water for fertilization. A large amount of yolk provides nutrition to the developing embryo and an extra-embryonic membranes protects the developing embryo from the outside. Amniotes were first to develop their embryo in an artificially created environment similar to the water.
