Question
Chapter 32.8, Problem 1C
Summary Introduction
To describe: Three vertebrate adaptations that have allowed amniotes to have a fully terrestrial life.
Concept introduction: In the late Devonian era, the aquatic vertebrates are adapted to terrestrial vertebrates. This adaptation is an important step towards the evolution of modern terrestrial vertebrates. This permits animals to escape from the competition pressure in the aquatic habitat and to explore the land habitat for survival.
