Chapter 32.3, Problem 3CC
Summary Introduction

To determine:

The rate at which the body temperature will return to normal if out of desperation an individual have dunk his head into the cooler to get relief from heat.

Introduction:

In living organisms the metabolic property of a body is always maintained by the property of homeostasis. Thermoregulation is also a process of homeostasis that regulates the changes in the temperature of internal environment. Like, when the temperature of body rises, the body’s skin heat sensors detect this change and help in lowering the body temperature by the process of sweating. Sweating, then cools down the body.

The endotherms are the animals that maintain their internal body temperature by thermoregulation as sudden change in the body temperature could be fatal for an organism. Endotherms get heat from the internal metabolic activities if the outside temperature is low and cool down their bodies by process of sweating if the outside temperature is high.

hypothesis question: to what extent does changing speed (4mph, 8mph, 12mph) when running at a constant time (8min) affect the body temperature (°C) and heart rate (bpm) of a 15 yr old female?
You said that "Exposure to an extremely salty environment, on the other hand, could potentially harm them by disrupting their internal environment and causing dehydration or an ion imbalance." I can't seem to find this anywhere do you have a research paper or source to show this? Thanks for your time and help I appreiate it
