Introduction:

Fungal anatomy comprises hyphae and mycelium. The main body of a fungus is made up of fine colorless thread-like structures called hyphae. A large number of hyphae interweave to form a structure called mycelium. The mycelium can only be seen with the naked eye when the hyphae are situated very close to each other and in bundles. The hyphal anatomy forms the basis of complexity in Fungi.
